Overview

Set out on a captivating excursion into the Desert National Park to be dazzled by the untouched beauty of the desert which boasts of a rich and diverse flora and fauna. This tour is a bird watcher’s paradise and offers an unparallel insight into the diverse biological ecosystem of the Thar Desert. You will be taken into the Desert National Park in a jeep with our experienced guide who will escort you to capture the glimpse of some of the most exotic wildlife within the park. This will be followed by a camel ride, dinner & a decent stay within the desert.

Itinerary

Day 1 JAISALMER – DESERT NATIONAL PARK – JAISALMER

Upon arrival representative will pick you up in the morning at 5:00 am from your desired location in Jaisalmer to proceed for Desert National Park by Car. As you sit in the car, can you feel the excitement that will grip your mind and heart as you start this wonderful tour with your drive to Desert National Park. On arrival and proceed for visit Desert Park Wildlife Sanctuary.

Desert National Park : The Desert National Park is home to one of the heaviest flying birds in the world- the endangered Great Indian Bustard. The place has fossil evidence dating back to the Jurassic period which indicates a hot and humid climate characterized by dense forests.

The Desert National Park is a bird watcher’s paradise where one can explore the real bounties of nature. The warm sands of the Desert National Park extend beyond Jaisalmer and house an astounding variety of animals and birds like Chinkara, blackbuck, nilgai, wolves, desert cats, the Spotted, and Tawny Eagle and the Endangered Great Indian Bustard.

A man-made canal cuts through the reserve, fragmenting the habitat. Some species of birds that can be spotted on the way are Laggar Falcon, Tawny Eagle, Red-tailed Wheatear, Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse and large groups of larks.

Safari Vehicles : The 4-wheel drive jeeps (Open to roof Gypsy, which seat up to 4 visitors). All these vehicles are attached to the Forest Department and owned and run by local people. Vehicles that are not attached to the forest department are not permitted into the park.

Drive Back To Jaisalmer : After exploring Desert Wildlife, you will drive back to Jaisalmer. Arrive at Jaisalmer & drop at your place in Jaisalmer.
