Jaisalmer village tour involves traveling to nearby desert villages like Moolsagar and Haider Ki Dhani to witness traditional livelihoods, architecture, and interactions with locals, often including cultural performances, food, and traditional practices such as fetching water from wells or using camels for transport. Experience aims to provide a cultural immersion into authentic desert life, going beyond the main tourist sites.

Itinerary

Day 1 : JAISALMER - RURAL VILLAGE – JAISALMER
  • Tour departs at around 8:00 AM from Marvin Camel Safari Jaisalmer Office’s by Jeep or Car.
    On the way enjoy scenic beauty & vibes of these areas.
  • You will reach the Moolsagar village in the Thar Desert after an approximately 15 min. journey to see couple mud houses or huts.
  • Then you will also visit an old garden and a large water tank that used to act as the summer retreat for the royals
  • After spending some time in Moolsagar, you will head towards Lodrawa, another village of the Thar Desert where you will visit popular Jain Temple and see how the villages life.
  • After this, you will visit Jogiyon Ke Dera, A Gypsy village where you will see how the gypsy community & tribes lives.
  • Soon you will head toward Roopsi, a small village. Here you will visit the village to see couple of mud house and lifestyle of the villages and interact with the locals.
  • After spending some time here, you will then head towards Local People Hosue, where you will be served a welcome drink on arrival.
  • Soon you will feast upon a fresh prepared vegetarian lunch with spiced buttermilk.
  • Then you may grab some rest for about 1-2 Hours.
  • After you may wake up, you will be served a cup of hot refreshing tea.
  • Then you will wander around in the village, feed the cattle and interact with the locals.
  • Soon you will meet your friendly camels and ride upon them into desert for about 30-40 minutes.
    Here you will witness a Mesmerizing & Beautiful sunset on the dunes, click pictures and enjoy beauty of the thar desert with vibes.
  • After Sunset, 30 minutes ride on camel back to village.
  • On reaching the village, you will be served tea and some snacks.
  • After having tea, you will sit with the locals where you may choose to talk with them or play with the kids.
  • Then you will be served a delicious authentic wooden fire cooked vegetarian dinner.
  • Sleep under the stars in a warm and a cozy bedding, overlooking the star-lit night sky.
  • Next morning, wake up to a beautiful sunrise with Tea & Coffee.
  • Eat a healthy traditional breakfast.
  • Take a jeep or car ride to Jaisalmer and reach by 10 AM.
