A Jaisalmer temple trails tour is a guided spiritual and cultural journey through the ancient sites of the Golden City, typically starting early with morning prayers at the Lakshminath Temple, then visiting the intricately carved Jain temples like Chandraprabhu and Lodhurva, and ancient Hindu shrines such as the Surya Temple and Bhuteswar Mahadev Temple.

Itinerary

Day 1 JAISALMER – AMAR SAGAR – LODRAWA – BAISAKHI - JAISALMER
  • Tour departs at around 6:30 AM from Marvin Camel Safari Jaisalmer Office’s by Jeep or Car.
    You will be greeted in the morning by our friendly and professional guide who will escort you to the Lakshminath Temple inside the fort for the morning aarti (a religious prayer).
    After the arti, you will have prasad (sweets given as a blessing) and will then proceed towards the Chandraprabhu Jain Temple.
    After spending some quality time there, you will head towards the Surya Temple within the Jaisalmer Fort.
    After that, you will walk out of the Fort to have a delicious breakfast of the famous Dal Pakwaan.
    Post breakfast, you will head towards the Amar Sagar Jain Temple which is situated adjacent to the famous Amar Sagar Lake.
    Then, you will continue your journey towards the Lodhruva Jain Temple, which is one of the major Jain temples in Jaisalmer.
    After Lodhruva, you will head towards the Jain Dadawadi Brahmsar, a fascinating Jain temple.
    Soon, you will be served lunch (Dal Bhati Churma, a local vegetarian delicacy).
    Post lunch, you will head towards the Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple in Vaishakhi to seek the blessings from Lord Shiva.
    Then, you will visit the ancient Muhar Mahadev Temple that was built in the 16th century.
    After seeking the blessings from Lord Shiva at Muhar Mahadev, you will head towards the Nabh Dungar Temple which is situated on the Dunghar hill, the second highest point in Jaisalmer. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati from Awadh (now in Pakistan).
    Then, you will continue your journey back towards Jaisalmer, where you will visit Shri Jain Parshvanath Shwetambar Temple in the Jain Dharamshala.
    After this, you will head towards the Gadisar lake, where you will visit an old Shiva Temple.
    You are free to sit in the temple, or by the banks of the lake to enjoy a magical sunset. You may even opt for boating, but at your own expense.
    After the sunset, you will proceed towards the Mukhteshwar temple to witness an enchanting evening aarti (a mesmerising evening prayer).
    After the mesmerizing aarti, you may take the prasad and come back to your hotel or at your preferred destination within Jaisalmer with a truly magical experience & the blessings from the divine.
  • We will pick you from your hotel or your preferred location in the morning at around 9:30 am.
    You will then start a fascinating journey towards Tanot in an air-conditioned car.
    Soon you will reach Tanot after a 2-hour journey.
    Here you can seek the blessings of Tanot Mata, have langar (a free vegetarian meal served by the Indian Army to all the devotees).
    Then you will head towards Longewala to visit the Sadhewala War Memorial and the Longewala Yudh Sthal.
    After spending some time learning about the history of the 1971 war, you will then head back towards Jaisalmer with tantalizing memories.
