A New Year’s tour in Jaisalmer is a festive desert experience combining luxury camping, thrilling desert safaris, and cultural immersion in the Golden City. Celebrations center around the iconic sand dunes with gala buffet dinners, DJ music, and vibrant folk performances, culminating in a spectacular midnight fireworks display. The trip also includes sightseeing of Jaisalmer’s historical sites like the Jaisalmer Fort and Patwon Ki Haveli, offering a mix of adventure and cultural exploration.

Itinerary

Day 1 : JAISALMER – THAR DESERT
  • We will pick you from your hotel or any preferred location within the city around 2 PM by Jee or Car.
    You will then head towards the Sam Sand Dunes for the New Year’s Eve.
    On reaching the dunes, you will undertake a thrilling jeep safari into the dunes.
    After the jeep safari, you will be riding a camel on the dunes.
    Then, our staff will escort you to the desert camp where you will witness a traditional welcome with, dhol, tilak and aarti.
    After this, you will be served a welcome drink and some delicious snacks.
    You will soon witness a nice cultural programme with dance, music and a fire show by the local gypsy community.
    After the program, you will feast upon a delicious dinner.
    After dinner, you may choose to join the New Year’s Party to dance like no one’s watching or maybe head towards the bar area to grab a couple of drinks (at your own expense).
    At midnight, there will be magnificent show of fireworks to mark the beginning of the new year.
    Soon the party will end at around 1 am and you may then head towards your Swiss tent/cottage for restful sleep.
  • You will wake up to a fresh new morning, freshen up, have a delicious breakfast and head back towards Jaisalmer.
    Enroute Jaisalmer, you will visit either Kuldhara haunted Village.
    Soon you will reach Jaisalmer, where you will be in for a sightseeing tour of the city starting with the Sonar Killa (Jaisalmer Fort).
    After visiting the palace, the temples and the cannon point within the fort, you will continue your journey towards the famous havelis (Nathmal ki Haveli and Patwon ki Haveli).
    After completing a sightseeing tour of the havelis, you will then proceed towards the Gadisar Lake where you will be in for a wonderful evening boating (but at your own expense).
    You will later head towards your hotel for a delicious dinner and a peaceful sleep.

  • You will wake up today, freshen up, and check-out from your hotel to go back home or drop at any preferred location in Jaisalmer.
