A Jaisalmer Morning Food Walk is a 4-hour guided tour that combines sightseeing with sampling local Rajasthani breakfast specialties in the “Golden City”. Participants typically start around 8 AM, enjoy tea and dishes like dal pakwaan and kachori, and visit key cultural sites including the Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon ki Haveli, and various temples. The tour offers a blend of cultural insights and authentic culinary experiences, allowing visitors to discover hidden food gems and learn about the city’s rich history through a leisurely stroll.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Jaisalmer
  • The morning walk tour will start from the First Fort Gate at around 8 am.
  • You will be greeted in the morning by our friendly and professional guide you will have tea and the famous ‘dal pakwaan’ at Fort First Gate.
  • After having it, you will proceed towards the Jaisalmer Fort where you will visit the Maharaja Palace, which will be followed by a visit to the Lakshminath Temple & Chandraprabhu Jain Temple.
  • Then you will visit the cannon point to see an antique cannon and a beautiful panoramic view of the city.
  • After this, you will descend to Gopa Chowk for having the famous kachori and ghotua laddoos.
  • Then you will proceed towards the Patwon ki Haveli, an archaeological marvel.
  • After this, continue your journey towards Nathmal ki Haveli.
  • Later walk to Hanuman Circle Here you will be served fresh coconut water or Juice to replenish your energy to mark the end of your walking Tour.

Important Information:

  • Recommended not to bring anything heavy with you for a smoother and enjoyable tour. However, you may bring your phones, pocket cameras and some money (in case you would like to buy something on the way)
  • Operates in all weather conditions except rains. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
  • Drink only packed bottled water. Avoid tap water.
  • Bring an umbrella in the summer (May, June, and July) and a raincoat in the Monsoon.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable t-shirts, pants, and shoes for comfortable walk. During winters, it is also recommended to carry a warm jacket and hand gloves.
  • Dress code is smart casual, please be advised that short shorts or sleeveless tops are not recommended in the temples.
